Handout: Bring Back Father LeDoux & Keep St. Augustine Parish Open
(March 24, 2006)

Bring Father LeDoux back to our community and

keep St. Augustine open as a parish!

All persons concerned about the closing of St. Augustine
are invited to join us in solidarity as we object to the closing
of this historic parish.

Join us Saturday and Sunday during all hours of the
day and night in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Slave
at St. Augustine on Gov. Nicholls Street.

St. Augustine is the first African-American Catholic parish in the United States
and must remain open as a parish.

If closed as a parish, all community functions will have to cease including the food pantry
and other community service activities.

We invite you to inform the Archdiocese about your concern for the closing of St. Augustine. Write the Archbishop at:

Most Reverend Alfred C. Hughes, S.T.D.
Archdiocese of New Orleans
7887 Walmsley Avenue
New Orleans, LA 70125.
